Arrival & Conference Check-in
Saturday (8:45 am–9:30 am)
OCC’s main entrance faces the intersection of MLK Jr. Blvd & NE Oregon Street. Once inside the main lobby, turn to your left and head toward the D-suite of meeting rooms on the lower level at the south end of the building.
Check in at our registration tables in the D-suite Pre-function area from 8:45 am–9:30 am to pick up your conference lanyard, name badge, and a registration folder, which will include your personalized course schedule.
Food & Beverage
Come early for coffee, pastries, and conversation with fellow Resistance Bootcamp attendees! Meet in the SW corner (red star on map) of the plaza directly across from OCC each morning from 7:45 am–8:45 am for a coffee social.
In order to keep our costs down, Resistance Bootcamp is not providing lunch. Please feel free to bring your own sack lunch, drinks, and snacks to enjoy in our classrooms, the lobby, or outside the venue. Or, eat at an OCC café or one of the nearby restaurants.
Please bring your own reusable water bottle; there are water filling stations throughout OCC.
What to Wear, What to Bring, and What to Know
We recommend dressing in layers and wearing comfortable clothing and shoes. Don’t forget the essentials: water bottle, pen & notebook, eyeglasses, hearing aids, mobility devices, medications, cash/credit/debit card, etc.
Limited free WiFi is available for checking websites and email. For more intensive purposes, we recommend using your cellular data (4G or 5G).
For privacy and security we ask you to refrain from taking photos or recording anyone at the conference without their express permission. No weapons of any kind are permitted on the premises.
Resistance Bootcamp is dedicated to the principles and practices of non-violent resistance. In the very unlikely event that we should need de-escalation or security, members of the East Portland safety team will be available.
